KATO Just Plug Vehicles Japanese Police Car (White Head Lights & Flashing Lights)

 

Working on the EH200 today.

Today I took out the EH200 with the intention just of running it but I decided afterward to install the details on it. So I took out the details and started to add them, Antennas, Grab Irons and number boards I did the whole nine yards lol. Although most of the details went on without effort the grab irons were a pita. I lost two of the grab irons off the sprue that flew into outer space but an hour after it went missing I found a grab iron and successfully installed it lol. Below are a couple of pics after all the details were installed. 

I installed light units in the GM JR 103 Series Cab Units

These GreenMax JR 103 Series are getting a workout that's for sure. I recently installed the GreenMax [ 8361 ] Headlight Unit A [Incandescent-like Color] into a couple of cab units.

GreenMax JR 103 Series and TOMIX 0381/0382 Coupler Replacement

For some reason there is limited information on how to install TOMIX 0381/0382 couplers into GreenMax bogies. Today I give you instructions and pictures so you can do it yourself.

1) Remove the bogie from the car.

2) Turn the bogie upside down with wheels in the air. 

3) Press the coupler into bogie.

4) Rotate the coupler 90 degrees, then remove the coupler. 

5) Remove the spring and put it someplace safe.

6) Assemble the new TOMIX coupler and observe proper orientation.

7) Put the properly assembled TOMIX coupler into the bogie.

8) Put the spring back on the post.

9) Use tweezers to compress the spring between the post and the coupler.

10) Reattach completed bogie back onto the train car. 

11) You're done congratulations.

Update on DIY Train Controller

Today I installed a circuit breaker in the case of the DIY train controller. I installed the wrong circuit breaker now I need to order the correct one. I'm still waiting on the lighted power switches that are needed for the device. I also installed the lighted switch that arrived today.

Building a few GreenMax JR103 Series Cars

Ive finished building the basic rolling stock and will finish up by installing TOMIX couplers and details to the cars. I may pick up two more end cabs Kansai Type KUHA103 (1273C) to complete the set and bookcase

The start of something small, A DIY 9V Train Controller.

Guess I've been looking at too much YouTube lately and I saw someone build a 9V train controller in a toy JRF container and I thought it would be a cool project. Below are some in progress pics of my controller I'm still waiting on a Circuit Breaker and a Lighted Power Switch.

Well, ladies and gents it finally happened and it's about time TOMIX got DCC. I'm pretty amazed and as well read all about it here.It's nice to see TOMIX getting support so TOMIX users can enjoy DCC. Use your favorite English to Japanese language to convert to your language.

 After back and forth trying to get my Yahoo auction win delivered I decided to go to the post office and liberate my package, Now it's safely in my hands.

New GreenMax JR103 series Kansai type Kumoha 103/Moha 102

I got my first JR103 kit from GreenMax its a pretty nice kit with no painting needed. Just add the details bogies, Glass, decals and you're done. Not quite you need to drill some holes and fit the glass into the cabin. It's pretty involved for a noob like me but it came out pretty decently. All I need is a motor unit to go with it and I'm in happy land. Below are some build pics of the JR103 Series from GreenMax.

Some more N scale goodness from Japan

This delivery is the latest installment of delivery from Japan which I think will have the last of my Koki acquisitions. I got a nice 2-car JR 103 kit from GreenMax which looks really nice and I'm looking forward to putting it together. I also got the final set of TOYOTA containers to complete a Koki set. There are some nice TOMYTEC Sagawa trucks in this delivery and finally a Kato case for extra Koki.

I wanted to rearrange my Koki and relieve some people's OCD so I decided to mess around with the arrangement of my Koki, What do you think?

Today I received some TOMIX & Kato Koki as well as a bunch of containers. I got a bunch of TOYOTA containers and ONE plus JOT containers. I also got a DHL truck set from TOMYTEC and a RUNTEC truck set from TOMYTEC.
